Zumba is a dance fitness program that involves dance and aerobic elements. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo with possibly some squats and lunges to give an all over fun workout.
The instructor chooses which format to use keeping the workout interesting and fun.
HIIT training combines burst of high energy movement with lower intense exercises to create the ultimate cardio workout. This class will elevate your heart rate with cardio and strengthening intervals that allows for all-over workout that will continue to burn calories hours after it is done.
Tabata is a form of HIIT training that consists of 20sec work / 10sec rest for 8 rounds of one or two exercises. This class incorporates Tabata drills into interval training for a bootcamp type class. This fast moving class is aimed to get you moving, improve fitness levels, lose weight, gain lean muscle and have fun.
TRX (Total Resistance eXercise) Suspension training is the new craze, and for good reason! You can work and strengthen every muscle group to increase your lean muscle by using your own body weight. TRX workouts can be modified to meet every fitness level and every age group.
Indoor Bootcamp group fitness is a station based class that mixes strengthening and cardio together to effectively hit every muscle group while getting the heart rate elevated. This class is perfect for beginners to the advanced exerciser alike because each participant is in their own station at a time working to their ability without having to “keep up” with anyone else.
BodyFit is a low impact cardio class that will keep you working in a steady zone on the floor without the impact on the joints. No additional equipment is needed for this class. This class is perfect for days in between HIIT Training, intense cardio days or strengthening days.
This class is total strengthening class with minimal cardio exercises, however you will get your heart rate up while toning and conditioning the body. This class is done using dumbbells, bands, mats and the body.
A non-contact cardio kickboxing class that incorporates kicks and punches into a high energy workout. Previous experience is not needed, however an open-mind is.
A New Kind of Playdate! This class is geared to kids ages 8-12 and incorporates exercises, games and nutrition for an interactive program that encourages healthy lifestyles in the early years. Kids will learn about proper form while preforming exercises and why it is important, as well as the muscles used in these various fun exercises.
